The Feminine Weekly

I started a deep involved list on topics I would place in a woman's magazine if I were to create one of my own. It would be a feminine magazine so far from your typical Glamour or Instyle issues it would probably have to get a new name like Ladies Pamphlet or Ladies Circular or The Feminine Weekly. I think I like that, "The Feminine Weekly." Now I am now writer by any means. I am just now, at 23 learning to advance my vocabulary and to read more educating books. One thing I do have going for me is ideas. In order to make this work for me and hopefully all of you that care to read or comment I have to start out with one thing at a time. The first idea I have in mind is goal setting. I want to mold myself into the best that I can be, I'd like to explore new avenues and grow in them to achieve my dreams, as I am sure is the same with many of you. I am a God fearing woman and I hope this blog can help captivate the ideas of all women, but I'd like to focus on healthy dreams and attitudes that would better us in clean and safe ways. I don't know if anyone will comment on this blog, but if you do tell me your goals and dreams. Let's all confer together to decide on productive, challenging, and meaningful goals to complete and let's also encourage one another in the ways to complete those goals. Another blatant desire of mine is that I'd like the goal setting to be beyond superficial. Let's look at deep issues/desires!

I'll start first merely as a stepping stone/example. Some of my goals are: To read one non-fictional book a month for the next nine months. Of these non-fiction books I am including titles like: Love & Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs; America's Providential History by Mark A. Beliles & Stephen K. McDowell; and Albert Einstein's Biography. I have many ideas and topics written down for the others but no titles yet.

With each goal I would like everyone/myself to include how long they have had it, why it was made, what time period is given to achieve it, and is this a personal goal, group goal, or friend goal.

I have decided to read more to expand my vocabulary, increase my brain knowledge, find a means to get away from the tube, and to learn new things. I get excited when I am knowledgeable about something and I am yet not knowledgeable about enough! I chose to do my goal for nine months because I want it to start now, I think a year is too much of a challenge for me at this point, and my husband is deploying for eight months which means I need a goal! I have only had this challenge since a few weeks ago and I plan on achieving it by spending a little time reading each and every day.

As far as what reading the above has to do with femininity it's simply being a woman/women that seeks after strengthening my/our/their minds rather than doing things that keep us idle. Men can contribute too if they so choose.

Let me know what you think.
